Need information to file your 2014 1099HC tax form?

You will need the Health New England tax identification (ID) number to file your 1099HC tax form. To determine the correct tax ID number to use, find the group number on your Health New England Member ID card:
- If the Group number begins with the letter S, then use the tax ID number 043012347.
- If your Group number begins with any other letter or number, use the tax ID number: 042864973.
For mailing purposes, if you were enrolled in Health New England at any time in 2014, Health New England will mail the MA 1099-HC tax form to you by January 31, 2015. This form will include all the information you need to complete the new Schedule HC, Health Care Information.
In most cases, you are required to file Schedule HC with your tax return to show that you met the individual coverage requirements under the MA Healthcare Reform Law.

If you do not intend on mailing these forms, how do you expect your older customers who do not have computers and are computer illiterate to obtain this form?

so I can just use the appropriate tax ID # on my online tax forms? without the actual paper for now.
Yes you can file taxes without the actual form. However, the 1099HC forms will be mailed out by 1/31/15. You can file your taxes then keep the form once you get it just in case you are ever audited.
My family uses HNE Direct; will the 1099-HC be available in the portal in the future?
In future we plan to have this available. However for this year’s tax period Health New England will mail the MA 1099-HC tax form to you by January 31, 2015.

Please keep in mind that due to the large storm that shut down our region on 1/27/15, the mail maybe delayed for a day or two. We aim to have all 1099-HC should be in hand by 1/31/15. If you do not receive your 1099-HC after 1/31/15 please contact our Member Services dept directly at 800.310.2835.
It's now January 31 and I still have no recieved my 1099 form. I recieved paperwork for changing information and general information on my policy but that is it!

Soon maybe you guys shouldn’t wait until the last day to mail them. Blame the storm on the 27th to have made them late as required by law to have it the 31st. Hope someone files a lawsuit.
