We are happy to share with you this Special Edition January 2023 to update you on the BeHealthy Partnership program.
BeHealthy Partnership Update
Health New England is committed to keeping all of our providers informed of plan changes and other updates related to our lines of business. We are happy to share that effective April 1, 2023, through December 27, 2027, our participation in the Accountable Care Organization (ACO) program in collaboration with the Baystate Health Care Alliance will continue. Health New England will remain as the Managed Care Entity (MCE) for the MassHealth Accountable Care Partnership Plan, otherwise known as the BeHealthy Partnership.
What do you need to know:
The BeHealthy Partnership is made up of the Baystate Health Care Alliance and Health New England. Within the Alliance are health centers and primary care providers (PCPs). Previously, BeHealthy Partnership was made up of PCPs based at the Springfield Community Health Centers and Caring Health Center. Beginning April 1, 2023, BeHealthy Partnership will continue to work with the Springfield Community Health Centers and will expand services to patients of Baystate Medical Practices’ 13 primary care practices in Hampshire and Franklin County. This will total 16 locations across Massachusetts. The locations include:
- Baystate Brightwood Health Center (380 Plainfield St., Springfield)
- Baystate Family Medicine Northampton (325B King St., Northampton)
- Baystate General Pediatrics (140 High Street, Springfield)
- Baystate High Street Health Center Adult Medicine (140 High Street, Springfield)
- Baystate Mason Square Neighborhood Health Center (11 Wilbraham Rd., Springfield)
- Baystate Medical Practice, Greenfield Family Medicine (48 Sanderson Street, Greenfield)
- Baystate Medical Practice, Northern Edge Adult and Pediatric Medicine (3400 Main Street, Springfield)
- Baystate Medical Practice Quabbin Pediatric (83 South Street, Suite 112, Ware)

- Baystate Medical Practice South Hadley Adult Medicine (470 Granby Rd., South Hadley)
- Baystate Medical Practice West Side Adult Medicine (46 Daggett Dr., West Springfield)
- Baystate Medical Practice Wilbraham Adult Medicine (2344 Boston Rd., Wilbraham)

- Baystate Primary Care – Palmer (40 Wright Street, Palmer)
- Noble Primary Care – Feeding Hills (24 N. Westfield Street, Feeding Hills)
- Noble Primary Care – Union (57 Union St., Westfield)
With the addition of the Baystate Medical Practices, Caring Health Center will be leaving the BeHealthy Partnership, but will remain as a Federally Qualified Health Center within the Health New England provider network.*
MassHealth/Medicaid members currently receiving care from a PCP at one of these Springfield Community Health Centers will continue to do so. For any MassHealth/Medicaid members receiving care at one of the 13 Baystate Medical Practices primary care offices, they will automatically become a BeHealthy Partnership member, effective April 1, 2023. Caring Health-assigned members will transition to another ACO and will be notified by MassHealth.
In the upcoming weeks, additional communications and training will be shared with the PCPs in the BeHealthy Partnership.
MassHealth will notify Medicaid members in writing about the changes to their plans and what actions they need to take, if any. If you get questions from members, please direct them to call the MassHealth Customer Service Center at (800) 841 – 2900 or TTY (800) 497 – 4648, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
*Please note: Along with Caring Health Center, our network of specialists and hospitals remains the same throughout Western Massachusetts.
