Provider Update – Special Edition September 2022
Posted on September 2, 2022
We are happy to share this September 2022 Special Edition of Health New England’s Provider Update.
Health New England’s provider partnerships are essential to our success in fulfilling our mission to improve the health and lives of the people in our communities. Therefore, we consistently evaluate methods to improve our partnerships with our providers. For example, Health New England collaborates with SPH Analytics, a healthcare measurement and analytics platform for consumer experience and engagement each year. This relationship allows us to ask a series of questions to our network providers to assess how we are doing as a health plan. The information gathered helps us build upon a strong foundation and make improvements to our collaborative efforts.
With that said, throughout 2022, Health New England acted on your feedback and enhanced operational aspects of our finance area. These activities included:
- Assessing and providing updated Behavioral Health reimbursement
- Improving claims payment accuracy against industry standards
- Strengthening your access to knowledgeable utilization management and care management staff
And, we will deliver a more robust provider orientation, including tools to help you recognize your assigned Provider Relations Representative.
As we continue to work in partnership, your response to our assessment allows us to be the best regional health plan in Western Massachusetts that understands our community’s health care needs. We are dedicated to our reputation for care excellence by providing outstanding service, delivering superior value, and acting as a leading corporate citizen in our community. We could not do this without your help.
