Provider Manual Update

Health New England reviews our provider manual regularly and notifies you when there are updates. Most recently, we updated the Reimbursement and Claim Submission section, as well as the HNE BeHealthy Addendum. Go to https://healthnewengland.org/provider-manual to learn more.
In the Billing and Reimbursement section, http://healthnewengland.org/providers/provider-manual/billing-reimbursement, under Reimbursement and Claims Submission, we added clarification on the reimbursement term “lesser of” under the “scope of service” paragraph on the first page of this section. This language may, at times, apply when care is provided by a provider not contracted with Health New England.
In addition, as mentioned in a special edition notice, Health New England will continue to participate in the Accountable Care Partnership Plan, otherwise known as the BeHealthy Partnership program. With the continuation, effective April 1, 2023, we have made current the addendum to the manual.
