Program Reminder: Health New England Offers Virta Health Nutritional Therapy Program

Health New England partners with Virta Health to offer members a Nutritional Therapy for Weight Loss and Diabetes Reversal Program. The program is provided at no cost to eligible members.* Virta’s program is available for eligible Medicare Advantage members and fully funded Commercial members and their covered dependents 18 years and older with certain metabolic conditions.*
Virta is a guided nutrition program for type 2 diabetes and prediabetes reversal, and for safe and sustainable weight loss. Powered by technology and digital health tools, Virta’s care team provides expert medical care, coaching, and on-demand virtual support. Virta’s personalized approach will help members sustainably lose weight while controlling blood sugar with fewer or no medications.

*Medicare Advantage members: Eligibility for Medicare Advantage members includes type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or a BMI of 25 or greater.
*Commercial members: Eligibility for Commercial members includes type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or a BMI of 27 or greater. Self-funded groups with prescription coverage through Health New England have the option to opt into the program.
