Health New England, in support of our continued effort to improve the health and well-being of our members, is pleased to announce a partnership with ProgenyHealth, a company specializing in Neonatal Care Management Services throughout the first year of life.
Effective 7/30/2021, ProgenyHealth’s Neonatologists, Pediatricians and Neonatal Nurse Care Managers will begin working closely with Health New England’s Commercial and BeHealthy Partnership members as well as attending physicians and nurses, to promote healthy outcomes for our premature and medically complex newborns.
ProgenyHealth will serve as a liaison for Health New England, and provide inpatient review services and assist with the discharge planning process for neonatal intensive care newborns to ensure a smooth transition to the home setting.
This collaboration with ProgenyHealth will not change how you notify Health New England of infants admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or special care nursery. You will notify Health New England as you do today, and we will notify ProgenyHealth of the admission. Then, their clinical staff will contact your designated staff to perform utilization management and discharge planning throughout the inpatient stay.
