Do you have the help you need to quit smoking?

Because deciding to quit smoking is one of the most important decisions you can make, Health New England wants to help you succeed by providing you with the right resources. Studies show that smokers who work with a healthcare provider have a greater chance of quitting smoking.
In addition to the smoking cessation coverage Health New England already offers to our members, we are pleased to share with you an exciting new program – Start to Stop®. The Start to Stop® smoking cessation program* is offered through MinuteClinic®, the walk-in clinic inside select CVS/pharmacy® stores.
About Start to Stop®
The Start to Stop® program provides HNE members eight no cost visits to the MinuteClinic® that include one-on-one counseling with a nurse practitioner. Also, the Start to Stop® program offers:
• Nicotine dependence assessment
• Customized smoking cessation plan and education
• Ongoing coaching and support
• Nicotine replacement recommendations or prescriptions, when clinically appropriate ($0 cost sharing for generics/brand name nicotine replacement therapy; quantity limit of 2 cycles per year for all products)
We also want your doctor to have a record of the medical care that you receive as part of the Start to Stop® program. So after each visit, and only with your permission, the MinuteClinic® practitioner will send a visit summary to your primary care provider.
*Patients must be 18 years of age and older. Services and age restrictions vary by state. Lab tests, additional services and visit complexity may result in additional charges.
How to Start
There are no out-of-pocket costs for Health New England members, including HNE Be Healthy and HNE Medicare Advantage plan members. All you have to do is stop by one of the following MinuteClinic® locations in our HNE service area to get started. No appointment is necessary.
