What’s on Your Bucket List?
Posted on March 14, 2011
Have you ever set goals that you might achieve…SOMEDAY?
Perhaps one of the items listed is going back to school.
- Have you requested a brochure yet?
- Perhaps you still have that brochure laying around…Somewhere.
- Have you made the decision to pick up the phone and make the appointment with an adviser yet?
- Perhaps you’re having second thoughts.
- Are you wondering how you could possibly do this at this point in your life?
I was exactly where you are just two short years ago. Wondering how I could possibly fit going back to school into my life. Not to mention my apprehension about how I was going to accomplish this thing called “college.”
I am here to tell you that if I can do it, you certainly can too. There are so many college students on campus going back to school that are of all ages young and old. It’s never too late to go back to school to further your education.
You can take on as much or as little as you can manage at one time. That’s why it is helpful to make that initial call to speak with an advisor to discuss your individual circumstances. Depending upon the school and the program, there may be a variety of options available to a potential student. The most important thing is to take the first step. By contacting an advisor, it doesn’t mean that you have to commit to anything. It just means that you have taken a small step on one of your bucket list items.
So, what’s on your bucket list? Have you taken action on your bucket list items? If you haven’t taken any steps, consider the following quote and reread your bucket list.
“You’re never too old to start doing what you want to do, but you lose precious time while you wait to begin.” ~ Author Unknown
I would be interested in hearing what steps you have taken towards your bucket list recently – whether it’s going back to school or anything else.
I look forward to hearing from you and perhaps…seeing you on campus soon.
