The 15-minute rule
Posted on February 4, 2011
Having trouble knowing where to start organizing or cleaning? Set a timer for 15 minutes and just start where you are; clean off the kitchen counter, hang up the kids clothes, fold the laundry, pay a bill. Just do something for 15 minutes. If you don’t feel like continuing, stop. You may surprise yourself though—what you accomplish in that 15 minutes may motivate you to continue. And if it doesn’t, 15 minutes worth of organizing is better than nothing!
