{"id":8209,"date":"2019-07-30T15:59:16","date_gmt":"2019-07-30T15:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hnetalk.com\/member\/?p=8209"},"modified":"2019-08-21T17:58:42","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T17:58:42","slug":"out-of-area-student-coverage-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hnetalk.com\/member\/out-of-area-student-coverage-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Out-of-Area Student Coverage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Health New England, we support young people gaining a higher education.<\/p>\n<p>For members enrolled in HMO plans, dependents attending and residing at school outside of Health New England\u2019s service area are covered* for the following services:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Emergency or urgent care visits<br \/>\n\u2022Follow-up visits after an ER or urgent care visit<br \/>\n\u2022Non-routine medical office visits (includes diagnostic lab and X-ray)<br \/>\n\u2022Allergy injections<br \/>\n\u2022Outpatient behavioral health visits<br \/>\n\u2022Outpatient short-term rehabilitation services<\/p>\n<p>For members enrolled in non-HMO plans with an out-of-network benefit, these services are covered at the out-of-network benefit level.<\/p>\n<p>For a printable version of this information, click <a href=\"http:\/\/hnetalk.com\/broker\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/student-plan-postcard_2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"column\" style=\"background-color: #e0f4ff;\">\n<h3>\nTeladoc option<\/h3>\n<p>If covered dependents are unable to see their primary care provider for non-emergency care, they have access** to U.S. board-certified physicians 24\/7\/365 through Teladoc<sup style=\"font-size: 10px; line-height: 0; vertical-align: 5px;\">\u00ae<\/sup>. Behavioral health services** are also available through Teladoc. More information about Teladoc can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/healthnewengland.org\/teladoc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">healthnewengland.org\/teladoc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please call Member Services (413) 787-4004 or (800) 310-2835. Our representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><em>*All services (other than emergency or urgent care) require prior approval and are subject to the terms of your Explanation of Coverage (EOC). Routine care, medical evacuation and repatriation are not covered.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>**Applies to fully funded groups and Health Connector members. Not all employer groups participate in the Teladoc benefit.
