Being kind can lower levels of pain, anxiety, stress, depression and blood pressure. Kindness can spread when witnessed by others.<\/p>\n<p><em>Try a few of these simple acts of kindness:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hand write a thank you note.<\/li>\n<li>Give your unused coupons to another person in line.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve to refrain from negative self-talk.<\/li>\n<li>Compliment someone.<\/li>\n<li>If you are in a long line, invite the person behind you to go first.<\/li>\n<li>Invite someone whose family lives far away to have dinner with yours.<\/li>\n<li>Truly listen to someone who is talking to you.<\/li>\n<li>Forgive someone.<\/li>\n<li>Donate to or volunteer at a soup kitchen.<\/li>\n<li>Read a book to a child.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kindness is the act of showing compassion, empathy and selflessness.
