We all get angry or frustrated at times\u2014which is a normal,\u00a0often healthy reaction. If you find yourself feeling this way often, it may be\u00a0time to assess your anger meter. Too much anger and stress can be bad for you. It can harm everything from your relationships to your health and happiness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temper that Tantrum<\/strong><br \/>\nManaging anger and stress has plenty of benefits. Here are a few strategies experts suggest, including many you can use in the heat of the moment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avoid people or situations that trigger anger or stress as much as you can.<\/li>\n<li>Change your reaction to the situation. Try to see it differently. Perspective is a good thing.<\/li>\n<li>Just breathe. Take several deep breaths. Notice the air going in and\u00a0out of your diaphragm. While you do this, try repeating a calming phrase\u00a0or word.<\/li>\n<li>Pause and count to 10. Use the time to listen to the other person\u2014and think carefully about how you want to respond in a calm manner.<\/li>\n<li>Walk it off. A short brisk walk may help you release your stress and think more clearly.<\/li>\n<li>Run a reality check. Ask yourself: Is it really worth getting angry?
