If you\u2019ve ever attended a Health New England Medicare information session, a health education event or visited our office, you may have met Carla Figueroa, Medicare Plan Specialist. And if you have met Carla, this news will not surprise you. Carla was honored with Health New England\u2019s 2016 Partner in Excellence (PIE) award, which was presented to her at Health New England\u2019s All Associates Meeting in December.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love our members,\u201d Carla said upon receiving Health New England\u2019s most prestigious honor, which is given annually to the associate who best demonstrates the qualities of being personal and accountable, taking initiative and consistently demonstrating excellence.<\/p>\n
She went on to say that a lot of associates care for our members and, as a result, whenever someone says \u2018we love Health New England,\u2019 it\u2019s because of all the work our associates do throughout the company.<\/p>\n
In presenting Carla with the PIE award, President and CEO Maura McCaffrey noted that it\u2019s people like Carla who are a true representation of our member-focused strategy. She said that Carla is the type of person whom others seek when they need help; she always stays positive; follows up and sees things all the way through; builds long-standing relationships with members, brokers and providers; and makes people feel like they\u2019re part of her family.<\/p>\n
Carla has been with Health New England for 12 years and has truly made a positive impact on her coworkers and our Medicare members.<\/p>\n
