Each year, we donate toys (picked out by our children) to Health New England&#8217;s Holiday Families Toy Drive. Our family\u00a0also donates\u00a0money to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fohspringfield.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Friends of the Homeless<\/a> to cover the cost of 100 meals and volunteer to serve those meals. Our money is also donated to several non-profit programs like Ludlow Hockey, to help under privileged kids learn how to ice skate. We also like to\u00a0donate new games to local schools and items to put together shoe boxes for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samaritanspurse.org\/what-we-do\/operation-christmas-child\/?redir=occ\" target=\"_blank\">Operation Christmas Child<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We have also\u00a0sponsored several Ethiopian children and frequently send care packages of the most basic necessities (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap etc.). Our\u00a0children pick out the items for the care packages, add a picture and include a note to make each care package special. I also like to buy lunches and deliver them\u00a0to a homeless people\u00a0a few times a month when I am on my way \u00a0to buy lunch for\u00a0myself.<\/p>\n<p>Our family is truly committed to giving back, not just around the holidays but throughout the entire year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Sarah F. &amp; Family<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our family knows how to give back.
