SPRINGFIELD, MA \u2013 (July 28, 2025) \u2013 Health New England, a part of Baystate Health\u2019s integrated healthcare delivery system, will award a total of $250,000 in Where Health Matters<\/em> grants to help address health- or healthcare-related needs in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire Counties.<\/p>\n Eligible 501(c)(3) non-profits may apply for grants of up to $50,000 per organization for programs that address:<\/p>\n \u2022 Diabetes Eligible organizations can find more information and apply for a Where Health Matters<\/em> grant The Where Health Matters<\/em> grant program is a cornerstone of Health New England\u2019s Community Benefits initiative to improve health and well-being in vulnerable populations. This program awards larger grants for more extensive projects than the company\u2019s Health Equity Mini Grants, which also support local health-equity efforts and remains open to applications<\/a> until August 4.<\/p>\n \u201cAcross our integrated healthcare delivery system, we feel a profound responsibility to invest in programs where we live and work,\u201d said Katie Bruno, Program Manager, Public Health and Wellness at Health New England. \u201cThese grants are our way of partnering with local non-profits, listening to their insights, supporting their solutions, and ensuring that resources flow back into Western Massachusetts to build flourishing communities.\u201d<\/p>\n Important Details<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 The deadline to apply<\/a> is by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Health New England encourages proposals that demonstrate clear metrics for success, sustainability beyond the grant period, and meaningful community engagement. Award decisions will prioritize programs that leverage collaboration among residents, local agencies, and other non-profits. The Health New England Community Benefits Committee will review and assess all applications. Successful applicants will be informed in November 2025.<\/p>\n
