It\u2019s always a good time to check in with your primary care provider to make sure you\u2019ve gotten your age-appropriate immunizations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following vaccines are recommended for healthy adults over 65 years of age:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>COVID-19 vaccine and booster:<\/strong> Health New England covers the COVID-19 vaccine and booster for $0 copay.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flu (influenza) vaccine:<\/strong> Health New England covers the flu vaccine once every year for $0 copay. You can get it at your in-network doctor\u2019s office or at a participating retail pharmacy. Learn more about flu at cdc.gov\/flu and get your flu shot this fall before the flu season begins.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pneumonia vaccine:<\/strong> Protects against pneumococcal disease, including infections in the lungs and bloodstream. (Health New England covers the pneumonia vaccine for $0 copay.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shingles vaccine<\/strong>: Protects against shingles and the complications from the disease. Your risk increases as you age (copay may apply\u2014not covered under No Rx plans).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine:<\/strong> Adults aged 60 to 74 years at increased risk of severe RSV and all adults aged 75 years or older should get a single dose of RSV vaccine. (Health New England covers the RSV vaccine for $0 copay.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Td vaccine:<\/strong> Get a booster shot every 10 years to protect against tetanus and diphtheria (copay may apply\u2014not covered under No Rx plans).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tdap vaccine<\/strong>: Recommended if you did not receive it as an adolescent to protect against pertussis (whooping cough) (copay may apply\u2014not covered under No Rx plans).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about the importance of immunizations at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/vaccines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cdc.gov\/vaccines<\/a><\/strong>, and be sure to talk with your PCP about what immunizations are recommended for you.<\/p>\n<p>Please reference your plan\u2019s Evidence of Coverage (EOC) for vaccine coverage information.
