Grants of up to $10,000 per organization will be awarded to eligible 501(c)(3) non-profits that serve communities in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, or Worcester Counties.<\/p>\n<p>Winning grantees must focus on at least one social determinant of health\u2014the social and economic factors that influence people\u2019s ability to live healthy lives, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Built environment (includes transportation, access to healthy foods)<\/li>\n<li>Education<\/li>\n<li>Employment<\/li>\n<li>Housing<\/li>\n<li>Social environment (social isolation, institutional racism)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eligible organizations can find more information and apply for a Health Equity Mini-Grant at <a href=\"https:\/\/healthnewengland.org\/community\/charitable-giving\"><strong>healthnewengland.org\/community\/charitable-giving<\/strong><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Health New England\u2019s Health Equity Mini-Grants exemplify the company\u2019s commitment to improve the health and lives of the people in its communities. Health New England recognizes that health goes well beyond doctors\u2019 visits and test results, and societal barriers can make it harder to be healthy. As a regional not-for-profit health plan, Health New England takes seriously its duty to support and collaborate with the organizations working to improve the cities, towns and neighborhoods it serves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that achieving health equity requires collaboration and investment to address the unique needs of our communities,\u201d said Katie Bruno, MPH, Manager of Quality Improvement Programs at Health New England. \u201cBy supporting organizations that are addressing health disparities, we hope to help more people gain the resources and support they need to reach their full health potential.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Important Details<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The deadline to apply is 11:59 a.m. on <strong>Monday, August 4, 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Applications must be submitted online and be fully completed to be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Each non-profit may receive only one Health New England Mini-Grant per calendar year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Questions?
