See your options below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Primary Care Providers<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nHaving a primary care provider (PCP) is very important.** We encourage you to choose a PCP so you can establish a relationship and discuss ways to stay healthy, and manage any chronic conditions you may have. They can also treat you for minor illnesses and injuries, even after normal business hours.<\/p>\n<p><em>**HMO plan members are required to select a PCP. PPO plan members are not required to select a PCP, but it is highly recommended to have a PCP for continuity of care, and for non-emergency care.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Contact Your PCP First<\/em><\/strong><br \/>\nFor non-emergency medical issues, always contact your PCP first. Most of our in-network PCPs see patients for non-emergency medical issues on a timely basis. In addition, many doctors\u2019 offices now offer telehealth services if you can\u2019t make it to an in-person visit. And because medical problems can occur at any time, Health New England&#8217;s in-network PCPs have 24\/7 coverage for calls.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Urgent Care Centers<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nUrgent care centers have capabilities to handle some minor medical emergencies like:<br \/>\n\u2022 Broken bones and sprains<br \/>\n\u2022 Bronchitis and pneumonia<br \/>\n\u2022 Insect bites, rashes and more<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>24-Hour Nurse Advice Line &#8211; (866) 389-7613<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nOur nurse advice line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This service is offered to you at no additional cost.
