SPRINGFIELD, MA \u2013 (October 30, 2024)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Health New England<\/a> is proud to announce that it has earned reaccreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)<\/a> for its Commercial HMO and Medicaid HMO health plans for the next three years. Both plans received 4 out of 5 stars for clinical excellence and member experience.<\/p>\n

NCQA is the gold standard in evaluating health care organizations, with a rigorous accreditation process that ensures health plans meet and exceed national benchmarks for quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Health New England\u2019s reaccreditation signals its commitment to quality of care and customer service, as well as its continued excellence in meeting its members\u2019 health care needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cNCQA accreditation is a tool brokers, employers, individuals, and other health care customers can use to evaluate the quality of plans based on common criteria and compare offerings,\u201d said Shelly McCombs, MPH, Quality and Accreditation manager for Health New England. \u201cThis badge of excellence ensures that consumers can be confident that Health New England is a quality choice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Health New England earned NCQA Health Equity recognition for its Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial plans by demonstrating exceptional efforts in reducing health disparities and addressing the unique needs of diverse populations. The company was just the sixth health plan in the country to earn the Health Equity recognition for its Medicare program, and the first in Massachusetts to earn the recognition for both its Medicare and Commercial health plans.<\/p>\n
