{"id":12483,"date":"2023-08-10T16:57:23","date_gmt":"2023-08-10T20:57:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hnetalk.com\/member\/?p=12483"},"modified":"2023-08-10T16:59:26","modified_gmt":"2023-08-10T20:59:26","slug":"out-of-area-coverage-for-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hnetalk.com\/member\/out-of-area-coverage-for-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Out-of-Area Coverage for Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Health New England, we support young people gaining a higher education.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to worldwide emergency care coverage, for members enrolled in HMO plans with dependents attending and residing at schools outside of Health New England\u2019s service area, the following services are covered:*<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Emergency or urgent care visits<br \/>\n\u2022 Follow-up visits after an ER or urgent care visit<br \/>\n\u2022 Non-routine medical office visits (includes diagnostic lab and X-ray)<br \/>\n\u2022 Allergy injections<br \/>\n\u2022 Outpatient behavioral health visits<br \/>\n\u2022 Outpatient short-term rehabilitation services<\/p>\n<p>For members enrolled in non-HMO plans with an out-of-network benefit, these services are covered at the out-of-network benefit level.<\/p>\n<p>For a printable version of this information, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hnetalk.com\/member\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Out-of-Area_Student-Coverage.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>*All services require prior approval and are subject to the terms of your Explanation of Coverage (EOC) or Summary Plan Description (SPD). Routine care, medical evacuation and repatriation are not covered.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<blockquote>\n<h3>TELADOC OPTION<\/h3>\n<p>If covered dependents are unable to see their primary care provider for non-emergency care, they have access** to U.S. board-certified physicians 24\/7\/365 through Teladoc<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. Behavioral health services** are also available through Teladoc. Copays may apply depending on plan. More information about Teladoc can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/healthnewengland.org\/teladoc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">healthnewengland.org\/teladoc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please call Member Services (413) 787-4004 or (800) 310-2835.
