\nHaving a primary care provider (PCP) is very important.* We encourage you to choose a PCP so you can establish a relationship and discuss ways to stay healthy, and manage any chronic conditions you may have. They can also treat you for minor illnesses and injuries, even after normal business hours.<\/p>\n
\nFor non-emergency medical issues, always contact your PCP first. Most of our in-network PCPs see patients for non-emergency medical issues on a timely basis. In addition, many doctors\u2019 offices now offer telehealth services if you can\u2019t make it to an in-person visit.<\/p>\n
\nBecause medical problems can occur at any time, Health New England’s in-network PCPs have 24\/7 coverage for calls.<\/p>\n\n
\nUrgent care centers have capabilities to handle some minor medical emergencies like:
