As a Health New England Medicare Advantage member, you can take advantage of telehealth services† through Teladoc. With Teladoc, you have access to U.S. board-certified physicians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Teladoc is an affordable and convenient alternative to the urgent care center or emergency room for non-emergency medical issues, and Teladoc guarantees to connect you with a doctor in less than an hour.
Account set-up
We recommend you set up your account in advance to save time when you really need it. Go to Teladoc.com, use the mobile app, or call 1-800-Teladoc (835-2362) to get started or to request a consultation.
Consultations and cost
You can request a phone or online video consultation with a Teladoc physician for non-emergency medical issues such as treatment for flu, allergies, bronchitis and more. Teladoc physicians can also prescribe non-narcotic, short-term prescriptions. As a Health New England Medicare Advantage member, you can have a Teladoc consultation for $0 copay.
Please note that Teladoc should not be used for treatment of chronic conditions and is not intended to replace your PCP. Always contact your PCP first for non-emergency medical issues. However, if you are unable to reach your PCP, you have Teladoc. If your PCP’s fax number is provided, Teladoc will send a copy of the visit to your PCP after the consultation.
