Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) releases annual survey results

The focus on patient-centered care is growing momentum. Just this week Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) released results for its annual statewide survey.

Massachusetts is one of just a few states in the nation in which statewide results of patient experience surveys with primary care doctors are publicly reported. MA is the only state in the nation in which statewide results of patient experience surveys with pediatricians are publicly reported. There is no legislative or regulatory requirement to conduct an annual patient experience survey or to publicly report the results. We do it in MA because we are leaders and it is the right thing to do for patients.

Health New England supports statewide measurement and transparency of Patient Experience, along with others, because we’re committed to ensuring that the patient voice continues to be heard in health care. Patient-centered care is a win-win for all healthcare stakeholders because how patients experience their care is tied to better health outcomes and more appropriate use of services and resources.
