New Medication Management and Consultation Program
Posted on December 13, 2013
Health New England (HNE) and Western New England University’s School of Pharmacy are partnering to provide a new medication management and consultation program.
This program will not only help you manage your medications, but also your lifestyle to improve your health and wellness. The goal of the program is to help you avoid dangerous drug interactions and reduce your prescription drug expenses. A School of Pharmacy faculty member provides the services. This faculty member has expertise in the management of medications and the optimization of therapeutic regimens and outcomes. At your request, the faculty member will meet with you to establish specific goals on the Western New England campus in the new Community Patient Care Center located at:
1215 Wilbraham Road, Springfield, MA.
The faculty member will evaluate your current medications and disease states, allergies, and past and current medical history. The pharmacist will work with your physician to design, recommend, implement and monitor your medication regimens and outcomes. If you are on three or more medications, you may find this value-added service especially helpful. Participation in this program is completely voluntary.
HNE offers this service at no cost to you.
If you are interested in this service, please call Sue Kahelalis at 413.796.2434 to set up an appointment.
