Wellness & Prevention, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company, is announcing the launch of the Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout App, which features a fitness experience that is fast, simple and effective. The app features the popular 7 Minute Workout designed by Chris Jordan, Director of Exercise Physiology at the Human Performance Institute Division of Wellness & Prevention, Inc., and 12 additional workouts that can be customized and modified to create more than 1,000 variations. Users can create their own routines using a variety of new exercise moves.
The 7 Minute Workout App was designed based on research published by Jordan and Brett Klika in the May/June 2013 edition of the American College of Sports Medicine Health & Fitness Journal.
The 7 Minute Workout App combines high-intensity aerobic and resistance training using only body weight and limited rest, and is scientifically proven to provide better results than traditional programs in much less time. It includes more than 30 minutes of high-quality video featuring Jordan, and a dynamic and easy-to-use interface that allows users to switch between a video view, a timer view and a view to control music from their device’s music library. A feature called Smart Workout gauges the user’s initial fitness level, provides a varied workout program and recommends intensity increases.
“The Official 7 Minute Workout App provides a simple and accessible exercise solution for almost anyone, anytime, anywhere,” said Jordan. “I believe it’s an ideal choice for individuals interested in improving their physical fitness in the New Year.’’
The 7 Minute Workout App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. It will also be available on Android from the Google Play store on January 21. More information can be obtained at 7minuteworkout.jnj.com.
