HNE Performs Well in NCQA’s Quality Compass®3 2010

Quality Compass®3 is NCQA’s comprehensive national database of health plans’ HEDIS and CAHPS® results. These scores reflect the results of consumer surveys and success in prevention and treatment compared to other plans. HNE received the following ratings of distinction for its commercial plan:

CAHPS® Survey:

• HNE achieved the highest rate in the country in the How Well Doctors Communicate and Plan Information on Costs composites.
• HNE achieved the highest rating among Massachusetts HMO/POS plans in the Claims Processing, Customer Service composites.
• HNE ranks in the 90th percentile nationally for the following HEDIS® measures:
• Adolescent Well-Care Visits
  • Adult Access to Preventive
  • Health Services (all ages)
  • Appropriate Treatment for Children with Upper Respiratory Infection
  • Breast Cancer Screening
  • Childhood Immunizations
  • Children and Adolescents’ Access to PCP (all ages)
  • Chlamydia Screening
  • Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity for Children/Adolescents
  • Follow-up Care for Children Prescribed ADHD Medication
  • Comprehensive Diabetes Care (Eye Exams, Blood Pressure Control, HbA1c Control, Medical Attention for Nephropathy)
  • Postpartum Care
  • Well Child Visits in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Years of Life
  • Well Child Visits in the First15 Months of Life (6 or more visits)
