Complementary & Alternative Medicine Discounts

Health New England is pleased to partner with Optum® to offer discounts to a network of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) providers who practice a variety of therapies.

Through Optum, Health New England members have access to more than 7,500 CAM providers nationwide who offer therapies such as:

• Acupuncture
• Massage therapy
• Naturopathic medicine
• Nutrition counseling and more

Members can enjoy the following program benefits:

• Discounted access to an alternative therapy choice, with an average savings of 20 to 25 percent off of the provider’s typically billed charges.
• With the discount program, there is no limit to the number of visits.
• No referral or pre-authorization required for CAM discount program. Members simply present their current Health New England ID card, receive a discount, and pay the remaining balance.
