There’s Still Time to Schedule Your 2026 Preventive Care

Now is the perfect time to schedule your preventive care visits for 2026 with a Health New England network provider. Our primary care practices are hard at work taking care of you and others in our communities.
As a Health New England Medicare Advantage member, you are covered for both an annual well-care visit and physical exam at $0 copay with your primary care provider (PCP) once every 12 months. Don’t hesitate to call your PCP’s office to schedule your preventive care visits early in the year. If you don’t have a PCP, you can search our provider directory at healthnewengland.org/medicare/provider.
Preventive Care Visits include the following:
Annual Well-Care Visit*—an opportunity to talk with your PCP about your overall health goals and concerns, your health history, and medications you are taking. You can develop a prevention plan based on your current health and risk factors. It’s also a good time to discuss needed screenings and preventive services.
Annual Physical Exam Visit*—a head-to-toe exam that checks your overall physical health, including chronic conditions that may need follow-up, screenings and tests. Your PCP will check your blood pressure, weight, height and body mass index, and will do a mini-cognition test and depression screening.
*The focus of an Annual Preventive Care Visit is on preventing the development of illness, disease and other health-related issues, and limit the negative impacts of chronic diseases, and on health-related screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar/diabetes, and various cancer screenings such as colonoscopies and mammograms. Preventive care scope does not include medical services for a specific health condition, ongoing care, or other services necessary to manage or treat an already-identified health condition. If you or your PCP address other medical concerns during your visit, that service will be subject to a PCP copay. Your PCP must bill the preventive visit as an annual physical or well-care visit.
Enhanced Reward for 2026**
Health New England offers Medicare Advantage plan members a $25 incentive for completing an annual preventive care visit. Once you’ve had your annual well-care visit or annual physical in 2026, your $25 reward will be uploaded to your Additional Benefits Card. No more form to fill out.**Reward is granted based on claims information following a qualifying preventive care visit. Allow approx. 2—4 weeks for reward to be loaded onto your Additional Benefits Card once claim is processed. The 2026 reward can only be earned/redeemed by active plan members one time per calendar year after completion of visit and must be used by 12/31/2026. Reward can be used on services included in the Wellness Allowance and/or for fitness/wellness items through the NationsBenefits catalog/website/app.
