HNE is introducing five-tier rating for all group quotes with effective dates of April 1, 2011 and forward. \u00a0Prior to this change, HNE calculated rates using two, three or four-tiers. We are making this change to quote our products using a more accurate estimate of assumed members by contract. The five-tier rating structure includes: (1) individual (2) subscriber and spouse\/domestic partner (3) subscriber and child (4) subscriber and children and (5) family.<\/p>\n
Please be sure to provide a five-tier census for all small and large-group quote requests\u00a0and we will be happy to develop the rates in a two, three, four or five tier basis.\u00a0 Just let us know which tier(s) you would like back for the quote request submitted.<\/p>\n
\u00a0At HNE, we are committed to rating each group as accurately as possible, thereby\u00a0mitigating rate adjustments based on census data that is understated.<\/p>\n
