Because the chiropractic claims process is slightly different from the medical claims process, we would like to help clarify the differences for you and your clients.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, all chiropractic claims are processed by OptumHealth Care Solutions, a vendor contracted by Health New England. Members who get chiropractic care receive an Explanation of Benefit (EOB) directly from OptumHealth Care Solutions for claims where deductible or coinsurance is affected.<\/p>\n<p>This EOB includes the following information, when applicable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amount applied to the\u00a0 member\u2019s deductible<\/li>\n<li>Copay and coinsurance for service(s)<\/li>\n<li>Member\u2019s responsibility (deductible + copay + coinsurance)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nDeductible and Out-of-Pocket Maximums<\/strong><br \/>\nChiropractic claims are reflected in a member\u2019s deductible (the amount a member must pay before the plan begins to pay) and in the maximum out-of-pocket totals (total amount a member will have to pay during a policy period).<\/p>\n<p>Members should be aware that deductibles and maximum out-of-pocket totals reflected on the EOB and on the member portal at <a href=\"https:\/\/my.healthnewengland.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">my.healthnewengland.org<\/a> are based on information at point-in-time and may not reflect all outstanding claims.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong>: Chiropractic claims do not currently display on the \u201cClaims\u201d detail screen on the member portal even though the deductible and maximum out-of-pocket figures displayed do reflect those amounts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HealthEquity Reimbursements for Chiropractic Claims<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Members enrolled in a <strong>Health Savings Account (HSA)<\/strong> through HealthEquity can submit a copy of their EOB for reimbursement to HealthEquity by logging into the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.healthequity.com\/HE.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">HealthEquity portal<\/a> directly, via their <a href=\"https:\/\/my.healthnewengland.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Health New England member portal<\/a> account, or by completing and mailing the <a href=\"http:\/\/hnetalk.com\/broker\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/HSA_Reimbursement_Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>HSA Reimbursement Form<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0Additional information can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/learn.healthequity.com\/sample-hsa\/hsamemberguide\/member-portal\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/learn.healthequity.com\/sample-hsa\/hsamemberguide\/member-portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Members enrolled in a\u00a0<strong>Flexible Spending Account (FSA) <\/strong><strong>or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)* <\/strong>can submit a copy of their EOB for reimbursement to HealthEquity by logging into the <a href=\"https:\/\/my.healthequity.com\/HE.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">HealthEquity portal<\/a> directly, via their <a href=\"https:\/\/my.healthnewengland.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Health New England member portal<\/a> account, or by completing and mailing the <a href=\"http:\/\/hnetalk.com\/broker\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/FSA-and-HRA_Reimbursement_Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>FSA and HRA Reimbursement Form<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0Additional information about FSA can be found at <a href=\"http:\/\/learn.healthequity.com\/sample-fsa\/fsamemberguide\/member-portal\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/learn.healthequity.com\/sample-fsa\/fsamemberguide\/member-portal<\/a> and about HRA at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthequity.com\/learn\/health-reimbursement-arrangements\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.healthequity.com\/learn\/health-reimbursement-arrangements<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For any questions or assistance with their claims, members should contact Health New England Member Services at (800) 310-2835, Monday \u2013 Friday, 8:00 a.m. \u2013 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>*<em>For HRAs that are part of employer-sponsored plans, members enrolled in a high deductible health plan (HDHP) should verify qualified eligible expenses with their employer.\u00a0<strong>HRA claim reimbursement requests made to HealthEquity are limited to Chiropractic Services only.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chiropractic care is one benefit that members get as part of their health plan through Health New England.
