New Format for Medical Inpatient Authorizations

Please note that effective Tuesday, October 27th, there will be a new format to the medical inpatient authorization numbers. The format will go from a numeric 9 digit authorization number to a 12 digit alpha-numeric authorization number. The number will start with “MD” followed by the year/month/day, followed by 4 digits.
