HNE Connector Plans versus HNE Be Healthy

It has come to our attention there has been confusion around some Health New England (HNE) plans being offered through the Connector versus individuals who qualify for the new MassHealth CarePlus Program, both effective January 1, 2014. In support of our ongoing partnership with you in providing excellent care and service to our members, we’d like to provide the following clarification.
All HNE plans offered through the Connector are an extension of our Commercial line of business and should be treated as such. ID cards for this product will have “Massachusetts Health Connector” on the front of the card. To see a copy of the ID card please click the link below.
HNE was selected by Executive Office of Health and Human Services as one of the plans to provide coverage to individuals in Western Massachusetts who qualify for the new MassHealth CarePlus program. HNE is administering this program under our Be Healthy Plan and provider network. ID cards for this product will have “HNE Be Healthy” on the front of the ID card.
