Attention Be Healthy Providers-Update on Section 1202 Rate Increases

MassHealth is in the process of determining the implementation process for managed care providers regarding Medicaid rates directed by Section 1202 of the federal Affordable Care Act. This applies only for certain primary care services delivered by eligible providers. Once HNE receives that information, we will process claims at the required rates. HNE will communicate additional details of the timing and process for any retroactivity once confirmed with MassHealth. Until then, providers are requested to refrain from submitting appeals or adjustment requests, as they cannot be processed without further guidance from MassHealth. We appreciate your cooperation and we will provide further information to providers as it becomes available.
