Traditions that make a difference
Posted on December 10, 2019
My daughter and I have made a yearly holiday tradition to participate in Starbucks’ annual gift drive for foster children. Gift wishes for these children are listed on an ornament display at the store.
We choose a child’s gift wish, then bring the presents back to Starbucks with the ornament, so that the child is able to have gifts for Christmas.
My daughter also goes through all of her toys and clothes that she has out grown or doesn’t use regularly and we donate to the less fortunate. My eight-year-old daughter truly enjoys being able to bless another child, especially during this season.
