Important News from MassHealth: New Online Enrollment Form

The MassHealth website has been updated to include an online MassHealth Health Plan Enrollment Form. Members who are approved for MassHealth Standard, CommonHealth or Family Assistance can view the list of plans and enroll online in a Managed Care Organization (MCO) or a Primary Care Clinician (PCC) plan.
The new online enrollment option can be found on www.Mass.Gov/MassHealth. Click on the “MassHealth Members and Applicants” button, then click the “Enroll in a Health Plan” link to learn more and to enroll online. You can also download and print the new paper enrollment form from this page.
Common Questions
Q: Can the online enrollment form be used to change MCOs or to change from an MCO to the PCC plan?
A: To change plans, you can complete and submit the online form.
Q: Are paper forms still required to switch health plans?
A: You can complete and submit either the online form or the paper form.
Q: Is there a fax number that the MCO paper form can be sent to?
A: At this time, there is no fax number for submitting forms. You should complete the online form or print, complete and mail the paper form.
Q: Why does the confirmation screen not detail the choices made by the member?
A: There are rules regarding the display of personal health information (PHI) that do not allow this information to be shown on the confirmation screen.
Q: When are my MCO/PCC online choices effective?
A: In most cases, choices made online go into effect within two days (with some exceptions).
