Health New England Introduces Teladoc

Starting August 1, Health New England members* will have access to U.S. board-certified physicians 24/7/365 through Teladoc. With Teladoc, you can request a phone or online video consultation with a Teladoc physician to treat non-emergency medical issues such as cold and flu, urinary tract infections, ear infections and more.

Teladoc guarantees to connect you with a doctor in less than an hour and is an affordable and convenient alternative to the urgent care center or emergency room. The member cost is the same as you would pay for a visit to your primary care provider (PCP) – $0-40 depending on your plan.

Please note that Teladoc does not replace your PCP, and Teladoc will follow up with your PCP after your visit. Teladoc is a convenient option if you’re on vacation, on a business trip or away from home, or if you’re considering visiting the urgent care center or emergency room for a non-emergency issue. It is also available to assist with short-term prescription refills.

Teladoc offers quality care. In addition to being U.S board-certified in internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine or pediatrics, Teladoc doctors are U.S. residents, licensed in your state with an average of 20 years of practice experience.
