Get to Know Your Additional Benefits for 2025

As a Health New England Medicare Advantage member, you have access to more than just medical benefits. The following extra benefits are part of your health plan for 2025, which can help you stay healthy and improve your overall well-being.
New Virtual Health Services
Virta: Nutritional Therapy for Weight Loss and Diabetes Reversal—Virta is available for eligible Medicare Advantage members with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or a BMI of 25 or greater. Virta is a guided nutrition program for type 2 diabetes and prediabetes reversal, and for safe and sustainable weight loss. Powered by technology and digital health tools, Virta’s care team provides expert medical care, coaching, and on-demand virtual support. Get started at virtahealth.com/join/healthnewengland.Wellth: Digital Care Program—For eligible Medicare Advantage members with certain health conditions, we are collaborating with Wellth, an app-based digital program, to help you manage your conditions. Through digital tracking of daily activities, like taking medications as prescribed and checking blood pressure or glucose, Wellth gives you the support and motivation you need to stay on track with your care plan in order to achieve better health. Enhanced for 2025: Over-the-Counter (OTC) Care Allowance—As a Medicare Advantage member, you are eligible for OTC benefits. You get an allowance every three months, which now will be loaded onto your Pre-Paid Additional Benefits Mastercard. The OTC allowance expires at the end of each quarter. Use your OTC credits to purchase OTC products from certain retail pharmacy locations or via mail order.
Dental Allowance—Medicare Advantage members get a dental allowance, which will be uploaded to your Additional Benefits Card at the beginning of 2025.
Hearing Exam & Hearing Aids—Members are covered for one supplemental routine hearing exam per calendar year with a copay. And, you can save thousands of dollars with our hearing aid benefit. Our Medicare Advantage plans cover up to two hearing aids per year (one per ear) when purchased through TruHearing®. Save with our 3-tiered copayment structure (per aid). Choose from 3 hearing aid options: $499 Standard, $699 Advanced, and $999 Premium. (You must see a TruHearing provider to use this benefit.)
Teladoc® Telehealth Benefit—With Teladoc, members can request a phone, mobile app or online video consultation with a U.S. board-certified physician any time to treat non-emergency, nonchronic medical issues. Go to Teladoc.com/HNE, download the mobile app or call (800) 835-2362 to get started. Copay may apply depending on plan.
Comprehensive Health Assessment—Members receive free, online access to the Healthy Directions web portal, powered by WebMD ONE®, at webmdhealth.com/hne. Take advantage of the portal’s many helpful tools and complete your comprehensive Health Assessment so we can help you manage your health effectively.
findhelp Community Resource—Members have access to findhelp, a search tool that connects you to verified social care providers in your community. You can find support for financial assistance, food pantries, medical care, and other free or reduced-cost services. Visit healthnewengland.findhelp.com.
Mom’s Meals Program (Post-Discharge)—We partner with Mom’s Meals to provide meals to eligible Medicare Advantage members who have undergone outpatient joint replacement surgery, or have been discharged from an inpatient hospital stay, a skilled nursing facility, or a rehab stay. If you qualify, our Care Management team will assist in coordinating your request to have up to 28 fully-prepared, nutritious meals (up to 2 meals per day for 14 days depending on your plan) delivered to your home by Mom’s Meals at no cost to you.
Nutritional Education—Our plans provide medical nutrition education. This benefit is available to all members and includes up to four one-hour visits with an in-plan provider per calendar year at $0 copay.
Vision Care & Prescription Eyewear—With EyeMed®, you pay nothing for one routine eye exam with refraction per calendar year. Members get a $200 allowance at point of service every two calendar years from an in-network EyeMed provider. (You must see an EyeMed provider to use this benefit.)
Additional Benefits Card —You will be getting a new Additional Benefits Card for 2025.
