Family Health and Fitness Day

Family Health and Fitness Day is on June 12 and Health New England’s Health Management Team wants to encourage you to be healthy as a family. Studies show parents can be great role models in exercise and eating habits while creating special bonds, encouraging social development and increasing communication as well as emotional health. Whether your family consists of children, all adults, close friends or furry companions, you can get and stay healthy together!
Things to think about:
- What does your family already enjoy doing or eating?
- What is your schedule like?
- Have you and your family been wanting to try something new?
First steps:
- Talk with your family and get their input!
- Create goals
- Make a plan and set a start date
- Get healthy!
