Don’t Delay Emergency Care
Posted on July 20, 2020
During the coronavirus pandemic, emergencies unrelated to COVID-19 still happen. Unfortunately, at the height of the pandemic, people with warning signs of a heart attack, stroke or other crisis were putting off going to the emergency room (ER) because they were afraid of catching COVID-19.
That fear can cost lives. Fast treatment in an emergency often raises the odds of survival. That’s why no one should delay emergency care.
Hospitals have taken steps to help keep COVID-19 from spreading. If you are experiencing an emergency, please don’t wait. Call 911 or go to the nearest ER.
