Meet Jacob Wycoff, First Warning Meteorologist, Western Mass News, and join us as he discusses forecast news, weather, storm tracking and how, in some ways, we are engineering our own disasters. He will examine some of the major storms of our lifetime, such as Hurricane Katrina and the levees breaking in New Orleans, Hurricane Sandy and the lack of any beach wall, and the devastating 1,000 year floods in Ellicott City, Maryland. Jacob will also explore the scientific consensus on the connection between storms and global warming. After the talk, you can meet Jacob and have your photo taken.
