It doesn\u2019t matter how long it takes you to get to the <em>finish line<\/em>. What matters is that you take steps to cross the <em>starting line<\/em>. Once you cross the starting line, keep moving pacing yourself always with your eyes on your goal.<\/p>\n<p>Someone asked me the other day, \u201cWhen will you finish school?\u201d After I responded that once I finished my bachelor\u2019s degree I wanted to go on for my Master\u2019s degree, they managed an, \u201cOh! Wow! I don\u2019t know how you do it.\u201d The answer is simple. I said the very same things when I encountered folks on the other side of the starting line myself; however, now that I took that courageous first step across the line, I am making strides towards my ultimate goal. I have my eyes on the prize. I am not letting anything get in my way of the finish line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reward Yourself<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Think of a reward that will motivate you to succeed. For example, my reward for graduating from college is my dream vacation to Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, my reward will be my pride in my achievement. Knowing that I took the challenge and succeeded one step after another is the ultimate reward. In addition, seeing my family watch as I walk down the aisle having accomplished my goals being a role model for them and their families to achieve their goals is certainly rewarding in and of itself exponentially.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So<\/strong> <strong>What\u2019s Your Marathon?<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all have different goals that we are striving to achieve.
