During a recent visit with a childhood friend we spent an evening reminiscing over our high school yearbooks.\u00a0 It was interesting to read what fellow classmates listed as their life\u2019s ambitions and I wondered how many actually achieved their dreams?<\/p>\n

Are you living the life you always dreamed you would? In the song It\u2019s Your Life<\/span><\/em>, Francesca Battistelli, asks \u201cAre you who you always said you would be?\u201d How would you answer that question? Did you dream of climbing Mt. Everest, becoming a world class athlete or a published author? Was your goal to play the piano, or learn a new language? Or maybe your dream was to marry your childhood sweetheart and raise a family.\u00a0 How many of your dreams and ambitions have you fulfilled?<\/p>\n

John Goddard, a world-famous adventurer and world-class motivational speaker is most known for his amazing \u201cLife List\u201d of accomplishments. If you haven\u2019t achieved any of your dreams, why haven\u2019t you? In another verse from “It’s Your Life” Francesca sings \u201calways waiting on someone else to fix you\u201d\u2014is that you? Are you waiting for someone else to fulfill your dreams? Are you a \u201cvictim\u201d of your childhood upbringing, or are you pursuing your dreams with passion? \u00a0Maybe you grew up in a family that never encouraged you to pursue your dreams, conveying the message that the most you could achieve was to graduate from high school.\u00a0 Maybe they never encouraged you to go to college or take a chance.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t have to be a victim: you can change the path you\u2019re on. English novelist George Eliot said \u201cIt is never too late to be what you might have been\u201d\u2014one of my favorite quotes. As long as you\u2019re alive, it\u2019s not too late.\u00a0 It\u2019s your life; who do you want to be?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
