Was there ever a time in your life when you felt a part of Everything? Or was there a time when you felt isolated, distanced from the world? Maybe you were depressed and spent a few weeks in bed, hiding from the world under the covers? How did you get out of that? How did you heal yourself physically, mentally, spiritually? Who helped you?<\/p>\n

In T. H. White’s novel The Once and Future King<\/em>, the magician Merlin says to young Arthur: “The best thing for being sad…is to learn something. That’s the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then \u2014 to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting.”<\/p>\n Nature can teach us about Body-Mind-Spirit integration. “Consider the lilies of the field…”\u00a0 Nature is purely, effortlessly integrated already. We are part of Nature. It’s not hard to obtain this feeling of being unified with All; in fact it’s very easy.\u00a0 But we have to be open to the teachings.\u00a0 An old Zen quote says:\u00a0 “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” I found this to be true in my life. After many years of wandering and searching, I found a set of teachings that resonated with me.\u00a0 I consider myself very lucky.\u00a0 Sometimes I wonder, what was I waiting for? The right time, I guess.<\/p>\n It all comes down to attention. If we are fully attentive, then our minds, bodies, and spirits are in unison.
