“One man’s trash”
Posted on July 28, 2011
In the post-apocalyptic movie “The Book of Eli” the main character describes the way things used to be: “People had more than they needed. We had no idea what was precious and what wasn’t. We threw away things people kill each other for now.”
How often have you seen a table sitting on the curb on trash day? Or a nice wooden rocking chair, or an unwanted 50-gallon fish tank? Did you know you could list these items on Craigslist under free stuff—just specify “pick-up” only and see how quickly you get rid of them! Think twice before trashing your unwanted items and consider donating them instead. (Goodwill will even take clothes with tears and stains and recycle the fabrics).
So remember: “One man’s trash… is another man’s treasure.”
