Posted on June 16, 2011
If you’re on a budget and can’t afford to buy organic produce, following is a list of the “dirty dozen”—the 12 foods most likely to have high pesticide residues: celery, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, pears, nectarines, sweet bell peppers, spinach/kale, cherries, potatoes, imported grapes, and lettuce. Check out the Environmental Working Group website at http://www.ewg.org/ for information on the foods that are lowest in pesticides.
