Seasonal Eating:
Posted on June 13, 2011
To enjoy the full nourishment of food, you must make your menu a seasonal one. In different parts of the world, and even in different regions of one country, seasonal menus can vary. In summer, stick with light, cooling foods including fruits like strawberries, pears, and plums. For vegetables try summer squash, broccoli, cauliflower, and corn. Notice how your body gravitates toward lighter foods during the summer months. Eating less and lighter fare is the natural way your body works with nature’s cycle.
