We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Gauvin to Manager of Existing Business for Commercial Sales. Mike fills the role recently vacated by Liane Comeau. As Manager of Existing Business, Mike will be responsible for executing Health New England’s commercial retention strategy for fully funded and self-funded groups to achieve market penetration and growth goals for the commercial business line of products.

Mike has been with Health New England for sixteen years, during which time he has held various positions in Health Programs, Business and Product Development, Human Resources and Provider Contracting, proving himself to be dedicated and committed to our organization.

Mike brings extensive experience in health care and health insurance markets, regulations, trends and industry legislation to his position, along with the ability to consistently win and negotiate major new accounts and state bids for innovative and competitive product solutions. In addition, he led Health New England’s Accountable Care Act implementation team in preparation for Health Care Reform as well as for the Massachusetts Health Connector.

Mike holds both a Master and Bachelor of Science degrees from Springfield College and lives locally in Ludlow with his family.
