We are pleased to share with you an exciting recent change in the Sales Department. Effective July 17, 2017, Liane Comeau has joined Sales as the new Existing Business Sales Manager.

In her new role, Liane will be responsible for executing Health New England’s commercial existing business retention strategy for fully funded and self-funded groups to achieve Health New England’s market penetration and growth goals. She will lead, manage and motivate the team of existing business sales professionals to achieve and exceed new member and retention goals while aligning them with the goals and objectives of the organization.

Liane previously lead the Provider Relations/Provider Appeals team for Health New England where she was responsible for day-to-day management and leadership of a customer-focused unit with the goal to support and provide the Health New England provider network with the greatest level of satisfaction possible. Liane assisted in designing and implementing programs to build and nurture positive relationships between Health New England, health systems, providers and administrative staff. She also assisted with Provider Contracting in preparing contract proposals in accordance with financial, operational and quality strategies relating to orientation of the provider network, ongoing provider network development and education, troubleshooting of provider concerns, provider appeal decisions and, implementation and on-going monitoring of quality initiatives.

Liane will report to Jeff Krawczyk and will work closely with Health New England’s Underwriting, Product Benefit and New Business Sales teams to ensure we are offering our customers the most affordable, simplified options available while continuing to demonstrate the value we bring by offering tremendous customer service as your local health plan.

Liane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and Sociology from Florida Southern College. Prior to joining Health New England, she worked as a Provider Relations Representative and Senior Provider Relations Representative for BMC HealthNet Plan as well as Fallon Community Health Plan. She has also consulted as a Physician Liaison for multiple medical billing agencies throughout the region.
