New England reviews its products each year to ensure we are offering relevant health plans to our employer groups, remaining competitive in the marketplace, and meeting the requirements for plans in the small group market. As such, we are writing to let you know we will be closing a selection of small group plans upon 2016 renewal because these plans no longer meet the actuarial value required by the Affordable Care Act.

For each of the six small group plans we are closing, we have identified a rollover plan that is closest to it in terms of benefits. We will be mailing letters to you 90-120 days prior to your 2016 renewal to inform you of your options. If no action is taken in response to the letter, your plan will automatically map over to the identified rollover plan upon renewal. Your employees will be sent a letter at the same time to inform them that their existing plan will no longer be available.
