Behavioral Health Care through Teladoc
Posted on May 21, 2019
Did you know that 16 million Americans live with major depression? Health New England is working to make access to behavioral health services a lot easier. Effective July 1, 2019, our fully funded group members will be able to take advantage of a new Behavioral Health Care benefit through Teladoc®. Similar to the general medical services through Teladoc, members will have access to high quality virtual care for a wide variety of behavioral health issues.
With Teladoc’s Behavioral Health Care, members can speak with board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists or licensed therapists conveniently by phone or video from wherever they feel most comfortable. Members can book appointments with ease and build ongoing relationships with mental health professionals of their choice – all without having to travel to or wait at the provider’s office. Behavioral Health Care covers a spectrum of conditions through a single point of entry, giving patients access to a robust suite of services at their fingertips.
Common conditions treated include:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• PTSD
• Stress
• Panic disorder
• Family/marriage issues
• Grief
• Eating disorders
• Substance abuse
• Trauma resolution
• Work pressures
• ADHD
More information to come in next month’s issue, including materials for your clients.
